This is an cc email we receive from a resident. The mail's recipient is our MP.
1. I am a resident and have been staying in Seri Petaling for the past 25 years and am writing on behalf of all the residents.
2. I would like to bring to your attention that the level of cleanliness at Seri Petaling has deteriorated termendouesly - To a very"sick level" and immediate action NEED to be taken.
3. I have liaised and contacted DBKL - ALAM FLORA - THE CONTRACTORS assigned by Alam Flora [CMZ and SITRAMAS] with regard to the "up-keeping" of the Housing Estate but all the effort I have put in turned into "deaf ears"! Not to mention the cost of my telephone bill.
4. As MP for our constituency, I am sure you WILL do something about the level of cleanliness in this Housing Estate.
The areas that you NEED to look into are:-
[a] Jalan Puteri Senggang - vacant land in front of House No:1 has become a "Dumping Ground" for Household/Garden Wastes;
[b] Jalan Cagar Merah - in front of the new shop houses that are coming up - piles of Garbage are left behind by the Stalls Owners/Hawkers who set up their stalls along this road;
[c] The worst/most dirty/sick level area - the shophouses along Jalan Radin Anum - facing the vacant place where the DBKL has its Pasar Pagi and all the lorongs around the area - just take a walk along the area and you can find huge piles of rubbish left along the roadside. Tell me, whose duty is it to clear the rubbish?
The problems you MUST address are:-
[a] Roads are not properly swept - leaves, paper, left-over food containers etc etc can been seen every where;
[b] Rubbish not collected for days/weeks/months. The whole area stinks!
[c] Place has attracted lots of rats, crocoaches, etc.
[d] Millions of crows have been feeding on the uncollected rubbish and has made the area their home. Crow's droppings for dinner is very common if are sitting under thetree having your dinner. Even the cars are not spared - just park your car under one of the trees [in front of the shophouses] for 5 minutes - your car will be covered with the crow's droppings!! [WHAT IS DBKL GOING TO DO ABOUT THIS CROW MENANCE?]
[e] Cars are parked hap-hazardly - on yellow lines [in front of New Lucky Restaurant along Jalan Radin Anum] causing a big jam for motorist wanting to turn right. WHY IS IT THAT DBKL DO NOT FINE THESE UNSCRAPOULY MOTORIST! The fines can generate some revenue for the Government! Perhaps the money can be used by the Seri Petaling Community used to beautify and keep the Housing Estate clean!!
[f] Place where DBKL pasar pagi is being held. Rubbish are thrown into the drains and rubbish are left behind. DBKL should fine the Hawkers!!
With these complains I hope that you will make time to meet DBKL and all concern with reagrd to the cleanliness of this Housing Estate.
Thanks you.
